has been ordered, the company I bought it from is going to erect it on site. the other local company dealer (derksen)wouldn't work with me on a building. the one i'm getting will be from tuff shed company. now I gotta tear down my deck rails, move the freezer, and all the other stuff I have on the deck. whew! oh...yeah...gotta trim a few tree branches too. anyone shows up to help...i'll buy the beer and steaks! the new building will be 10x18. should hold all my cooking stuff! I know my grills will stay cleaner!

lol....outdoor kitchen...means it ain't in the main house. my currant outdoor kitchen IS all outdoors. as I gits older, it's getting tougher to sit in the snow and rain and wind while cooking on the grill. I cook year around on the grill, and it should save a lot on cleanup and food prep. I always did enjoy cooking when the "pretty" was coming down, but when them silly Canadians leave their barn doors open, the wind blows all my stuff around. yeah...as time goes on, i'll prolly carpet it, heat it, cool it, puts an easy chair in, that is if the old lady....oooops….I mean the loving wife don't fill it all up with chit and push me and the grill back outside! PfffffT!

I do most of my cookin' on the grill out on the back deck year round.  Course, its got a roof, lights and it's enclosed on three sides in winter. (keeps the snow off the dogs!) And, we isn't silly Canadians, we's tough Canadians to live here in the great white north!! LOL

Wink  He no doubt has barn full of extension cords.

Posted By: shameless dude
Date Posted: 06 Sep 2019 at 12:22am
wiring it? me prolly! only thing to plug into it will be my sub zero freezer and a couple LED lights. right now the freezer is running off an extension cord from the house. been that way for several years now. it's covered with 2 inch foam insulation and doesn't run all the time, but works real good! prolly run the same cord inside thru a hole drill thru the wall. maybe later run a better system to it? I also could still use the battery LED lights I use now in the tent that's on the deck now. the batteries last well over a year on the "Bushnell" lights I use now. spent the day cutting tree limbs off above the deck and tearing some of the old railings off. lots more to do yet, gotta get the crane up here to lift several real heavy items off that deck yet.

it's gittin closer! I gots 3/4 the deck stained and sealed, only one more corn stove to gits outta the tent on the deck then I can remove the tent and yank down the rest of the deck railings, and cut more tree branches. gotta move the tent first or the tree branches will take it out! seems I can only do about 1/100 th of anything that a normal (oooops...I mean misfits) can do anymore. sure has been taking a long time.

Chit,,Shameless,,,,I feel much better after readin your post,,,cause I feel the same way and I get upset when I just cannot seem to do all I used to do,,,,,!!! I'm thinkin I'ma gonna up the mornin dosage on the cbd oil cause I start runnin out of gas long bout 2pm,,,and,,,,and,,,they is still bout 5 good hours of light to get caught up.

I been workin on finishing gettin the "new" 9,000# winch on my trailer (they's a great story on thet winch,,,if ya'll want to hear it), I got this idea on an almost "unstealable" set up on YouTube. Dang,,I wish my friggin phone would help me with the pics transferrin,,, Anyway, I used a plate of 1/4" steel and welded a 2" square tubing to it end then welded a 2 1/2" receiver onto the trailer and bolted the winch to the plate. This left the winch bolts right on the trailer boards so access to the bolts is,,,NONE!! Then I drilled a hole in the receiver pin for a good lock,,THEN,, I welded a piece of 3"x3" angle to that frame so you have to reach under the 3" angle to open the lock ,,!! And the angle iron prevents them from using a hammer on the lock.  I KNOW if they want to steal the sob bad enough,,,,this will only slow em down enough I can maybe get to my shotgun,,,,, ClapClap

with all the other chit that has come up the past week, I finally gots started on insulating the new building. shucks some of them cuts are 93 inches long! don't take long to use up a roll. I gotta go gits more at menards this coming weekend. then i'll look see what they have for covering the walls. been thunking about wood flooring planks. gonna move the freezer in tomarrow, then that will be out of the weather. i'll have it on a roller caddy so it's easier to move when inside. it's coming together! been cooking lots in it already, sure is nice out of the elements but still on the deck! grill is looking better (cleaner) after being outside for bouts a year! had lots of cooking grease splatters all over down the front and on the legs/shelves, found that the go-jo hand cleaner works the best for cleaning all that off !

Be sure to get them feet elevated when ever possible in the mean time. These things always flare up when we are up against a deadline, really want to do something, or jump on (no pun intendedWink) a fantastic deal. Least it seems that way for me.Cry

Shamelees I know your grill will heat the building but keep a window or a door open so you don't die of carbon monoxide poisoning, you won't know till it's to late!!

A carbon monoxide detector would be a good idea. Like 10&20 say's you won't know, then them feet won't make any difference.

That's a good idea ole Shameless is liable to go out there and light the grill for heat and then prop his ole feet up and take a nap seeing how he's afraid his ole lady oops his loving wife may move stuff in there!

a detector is a good idea, I did buy 2 fire extingushers for it, one inside and one outside. where should I mount the CM detector, up high or down low? I cooked up sum bacon, catfish, and burgers last nigh, got up to about 80 degrees inside, sure was nice...I spose it'll be a bear in the summer? but I might hafta mount an AC unit on it?

Hey there Good Buddy,,,,I'm sure likin how much you are enjoyin your new found freedom from cookin over a hot stove indoors,,,,wait a minute,,,did I say that right,,,???Wink
I also really used to enjoy grillin and especially smokin up meats,,fact is there is still a few packages of my last years Elk and Jon's Barbary Sheep in the freezer as well as two 30 lbs bags of roasted, honest to goodness Hatch Chili,,!!  I'm gonna have to re-arrange my priorities to get back into that groove that I used to enjoy so much,,,,,Clap
In a real effort to head off any more shade tree mechanic jobs I raised my rates to $80/ Hr,,so I can finish up MY projects and get back on ole Red,,The dealers around here raised their Flat Rate to $160, so I figure half of their rate should be more than fair,,,,LOLLOL,,,I kinda felt for this dude that brought me an almost NEW John Deere rider mower last week that appears to need a new engine,,when I told him rates had gone up,,,I thought he was gonna choke on his ceegar,,he was sputterin so much at the $80 rate,,,but he finally did recover enough to spit out the stogie and said he would go elsewhere,,,,ClapLOLLOL SO,,I kissed him on da cheek, and sent him on his way,,,,LOL
I'm just about finished up putting the metal panels on what started as just a simple lean-to to get out of the sun and original plan was "modified" when we had bout a week of some of the coldest weather we've ever had in September, thanks to my Good Buddy. Anyway, I got two great deals on a trailer full of new and used 20' metal panels plus a trailer full of 2"X6"X 16' lumber so I figured,,What the heck,,may as well enclose it on three sides ,,,,chit,, if I get a deal on a couple of garage doors,,,well,,,Ya'll never know bout ole Joe,,,,,Clap

Should be directions with the detector.

Unless your being too frugal and buying used. Wink

Joe, I got about a pound or two of them Hatch Chili's left that I bought and roasted for .50lb last fall about this time. Been nursing (not piggin out) them along and waiting for the sale again. I got a bad feeling though for this year because of the weather and all.

Yeah, Chask,,I do love that Hatch Chili and,,,and,,,they grow it right over the mountain bout 100 miles from here. I usually buy two of the 30lbs bags  in the fall and have em roasted right there. I leave the skin on em and freeze em whole in bout 1 lbs baggies. It lots easier to get the skin off after you thaw em out,,skin comes right off in big pieces,,Clap Usually pay bout $12-$15 per toe sack.
