Have an opportunity to purchase a TL 12. Rear pinion and driveshaft are missing. Wondering what the possibility is of locating those parts, and what the cost would be?
Also the shuttle shift clutch doesn't snap into place. Have to hold lever to keep transmission engaged. Is it just needing adjustment.
First time I have been around a TL loader of any kind. Kinda like the little loader. Other than the above listed things, everything else seemed good. What would be a good price for it in this condition?
One other question is, how do the brakes work? No obvious brake peddle, so, got me wondering.

the axles are rockwell HD from the time frame so you could likely locate what you need or find a parts tl12.  The clutches  need to be adjusted up if it doesnt snap in.  The Tl12 i bought was advertised as having a bad hydro (lol) and wouldnt move.   went to pick up and adjusted clutch and drove on trailer!  sellers mouth was gaping....

the brake should be on the left side of the steering column and the master cylinder is just below the floor plate.

I forgot to mention this is an early model TL12.
The only thing I saw to the left of the steering column was a foot rest. There is some sort of valve on the floor behind your right foot. Any idea what that is?
Does anyone you what axle was used, such as what truck might have used the same one that parts could be sourced from?

the valve to the right under the seat is a brake lock.  basically holds line pressure once pedal is pushed.   I have a parts book on these i can look and see what it says for axles.  i know they are rockwell as i have a friend with a tl12 and he has a lot of notes from when he rebuilt it.  both his and mine are the early models.

Thanks CAL. No luck with General Gear. Don't have one in their yard.
