My Brother in Law's Father in Law passed in his sleep at the grand age of 94. Charles Stockhausen of Sunset Hills MO. He was one of the remaining, dying off Chosin Reservoir Chosin Few Marines of Korea. He fought in WWII from 1943 to close in such horrid places as Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal then re-enlisted for Korea and ended up in that hot hell mess. He worked at Union Electric until the early 90s as a Underground Line repairman in the City of St. Louis while enduring the debriding of skin damaged by the frostbite of Korea nearly every year, NEVER Once complained that I ever heard. Had a farm in Wellsville MO, grew up on farm in St. Charles County MO near to the old Boone Home estate. Tougher than nails, sincere strong heart, another Great Man lost to time.

Sorry for the loss Dave. I’ve seen your very fond and strong writings of this man many times on here. Yes, seems we have lost a great one, but his time for rest has come. God bless.
