How's it going in your neck of the woods? Kind of a slow market here in Eastern Carolina. The small stuff like Bs and Cs, along with all the little Farmall's seem to change hands pretty quick. The bigger iron definitely sets for a while.

Down, but not dead. I have bought a few "Bucket List" tractors that I never dreamed of buying.

Pretty slow. Prices are off from 5-10 years ago. Even the expensive color guys are complaining about prices being down.

Auctions I go to prices are all over the place,even at the same auction sometimes.One tractor will go for 2X what they can usually bought for the next one will go cheap,just depends on who wants what and has the cash that day.

Went to an auction yesterday, JD and Allis and a few IH. Most wouldn't start, still some brought pretty good money and a few were real cheap even for non running ones.

I think the truly nice and properly restored tractors are still bringing good money, as are the nice originals that have been well kept. There's a big range of what some people call "restored" and what is just painted and sometimes not even nicely painted.

As usual the Doctor hits the nail on the head. It amazes me how many people slap a coat of (probably cheap) paint on a tractor and call it restored! Some of my working girls show three layers that the power washer has exposed.

Asking prices seem to be on the high side around here to me for a lot of things. Don't know if any of these things sell or not but people seem to start out a lot higher than what 'I' think the market will bear.
