weird - I'm getting the error message "youtube not responding" when trying to hyperlink a video.

For kicks, I tried hyperlinking a regular website and it worked

Lord knows I'm no farmer, but why do you run at an angle to the row?

It makes for more even feeding, especially in more challenging conditions like short beans or beans leaning from wind or whatever.

If you had a Gleaner 300 or 800 series head you'd know exactly why. They don't feed worth a darn. I thought the 820 might be slightly better than the 315 I had on the L2 but I almost think it's worse. I should convert my 315 to fit the R52. After a few mods I did to that head it fed reasonably well. I like combining 20 feet verses 15 but I think my 315 would take more out in a day at this point.

Another reason to combine at an angle is to evenly wear the sickle sections.  If you continually run with the rows, 2 or 3 sickle sections are going to be doing most of the cutting as you go down the row, while the other sickle sections are just along for the ride.  If you cut an an angle, all of the sickle sections will see some use and provide for more even wear.

The BTO my brother works for takes beans out at an angle . They claim the sickle bar wears more evenly and lasts longer.
