Neighbor stopped by last week looking for a small chain saw, said he would trade his big saw since it was too hard for him to start. Had a little Poulan 1800 I had been intending to work on, so today I replaced the fuel line, filter, and spark plug and put an almost new 14" bar and chain on it. Took it over to him and he comes out with a Jonsered 620, 20" bar in great shape. I think I did okay. I did tell him I would let him have it back if he changed his mind. ------------- Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God. |

| Yes you did good but if he got rid of a saw he couldn’t handle and got one he can run then he did good as well. Sounds like a good deal both ways. Good on you offering him the big saw back if he wanted. |

I've had a couple of Jonsered saws really liked them, someone else liked them too, as they disappeared. |

I've got a old all metal Remington electric. I love it, it runs great and stronger than these plastic things now days. Have only replaced the trigger switch and brushes once. Electric cords are kind of limiting though.

I run Stihls and love them but have heard great things about the Jonesred. That's a great swap, obviously in your favor, but good on you for agreeing to swap back if he wanted. While I like a smaller bar for limbing and smaller work, also kind of prefer having a bigger saw so it can handle anything you step into. And be careful and wear those chaps and protective gear! | i use a Dolmar 420 w/14" bar. Good little saw but servicing dealers for that brand can be hard to find. It cuts most of my firewood. when out with the son and son-in-law who both run big Makitas (Dolmar in disguise) when they get tired, and branch work needs to be done, the 420 is preferred. R.
