Just glancing through tractor data comparing serial numbers produced on the Allis Chalmers 7000 series compared to other brands. Looks like Allis Chalmers only made about 1000-2000 of each model per year whereas other manufacturers were making 6000 to 10000 of each model per year. Am I missing something? I thought Allis Chalmers was right up there with everyone else in the 1970’s and early 80’s.

the 6060 6070 6080 had 20 per cent market share= the highest of any of the AC's you mentioned. Most hp classes 8 to 18 percent was the norm. The Gleaners of the 70's had 25 percent market share and steadily went down in the 80s .

Just look at the annual reports. AC was waaaay behind in AG sales.
