I don't have WIN 10... but in previous versions you go to CONTROL PANEL, INTERNET and NETWORK, then INTERNET OPTIONS.... and there was a DELETE COOKIES button. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

With firefox, just click on history. The window that comes up has an option to select cookies and another for what period you wish to chose. ------------- D14, D17, 5020, 612H, CASE 446 |

Cookies are created within your Web 'browser' ( Firefox for me ). Be careful when 'deleting' and be SURE, you only select 'cookies' and not 'all' ! If you delete 'all' ( cookies, history,etc.) you'll ALSO delete ALL your usernames and passwords to wherever you go online ! Now THAT is a real PITA as you'll have to login again to EVERY place you go to.... Cookies are small files put onto your computer from every website(and more) that you visit. It keeps info like what OS you have, screen size,where you were on their site, etc. so it's 'easier' and faster the next time you go there. Unless you go in and 'clean' the cookies folder weekly, you'll ed up with 1,000s of entries, making it slower to login. Browsers should( Firefox does), allow you to 'keep' all your important cookies when you 'delete all cookies'. That way you get rid of all the 'junk' cookies and don't have to reenter usernames/passwords to here or banking sites ! | I also vote for cc cleaner... can use the free version to clean up your pc. You can select what you'd all like it to clean (cookies, history, browser cache, recycle bin, temporary files etc) |

CCleaner works great. After you run CCleaner for cleaning cookies, etc., click the Registry button and clean that as well to get rid of dead weight data. When the Window pops up asking if you want to "Back Up" that registry, click No to clear it all out. To answer your question also: In the upper right hand corner, just under the X that closes the window, there's 3 vertical dots > click it to get the drop down menu. Look down the list to find "More Tools" to land on and open the next window to find "Clear Browsing Data" click that to open up the next window to choose "Basic and/or "Advanced" option. I have all of the boxes checked in the Basic and on the Advanced I have the top 4 and bottom box checked. Also check the "Time Range" to ALL TIME to clear it all up. Then click the "Clear Data" button. While we're on topic of cleaning up cookies and old residual data taking up resources unnecessarily, get the app called Malwarebytes Free and run it. You'd be surprised at what's been lurking in the background that it finds. HTH.

Not everyone likes relearning these dang computer programs, I am one of them. Seems they are changing them all the time and I only have so much time in this life. On mine at the top of IE next to the help button is tools button, select this and get the drop down menu. On the drop down menu select Delete Browsing History.
