AGCO P/P 70209832. I know they're available, just wondering if anyone uses something else like black RTV, etc. or if anything other than the gaskets is even advisable to use. First time changing bulbs. The wiring was a disaster when I bought it, lights never worked before. Now the entire electrical system is new, with the exception of the starter but that was rebuilt a few years back. Time for a new battery, too (12v). The old one isn't holding a charge, but it was enough to connect and show that the lights and voltmeter work! Discharged quite quickly though and not enough juice to produce more than the annoying >click-click-click<. So, second question - the old battery is significantly bigger dimensionally than the "new" battery box. Any particular battery recommendations? We have an excellent battery shop in the area but just wondering what other people have been happy using before I get to them next week. Thanks! - Tim

I would definitely NOT recommend RTV!  The lens will seal to the frame.  If you need to change the light bulb that is behind the lens down the road, you will probably wind up breaking the lens.  Gaskets are cheap compared to lenses.

For the battery, I measured the inside of my battery box and then looked for a battery that was close to those dimensions.

I agree DSeries4, the P/O used RTV so I was wondering about that. I was lucky getting things apart. Just ordered a set.

I think someone posted some pics, many years ago, of using black 12 gauge wire.

A group 24 top post battery should fit in the  6 volt battery box with no problem.

Gaskets are available after market. I stock them.

I find that the short fatter group 22 works better than a group 24. Just don’t get the tall skinny 22. Get the proper headlight gaskets, you’ be happier than doing a kinda works fix.
------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

When installing gaskets, make sure the seam is at 6 o’clock, to drain any condensation.
