All I had was a picture to go by.
Picture is of the first load.
80 bales from field to barn in app one hour.
Still have some find tuning to do on it.
When I learn how to use it, it should take half that time.

I saw a website for that but the company seems to be out of business. Is that what you went by? That is pretty neat. I would love to see a video or more pictures. Do you feel like making another one?

Dad use to have an old hay bucker that he would put on the FarmHand loader and he would go scootin across the field with that and pick up 20 or more bales in no time and head to the stack, barn or wagon.

Red Bank,
That's what I do, I make metal things.
I have a 5000sqft shop full of metal working toys.
I have not work up all the numbers yet, but it looks like I will price this size/style at $1500.
Mounted on a skidsteer will work best. You would have a much better view of the forks/ground.

Congrats on the success. I'm in the middle of building a copy of a Maxilator grapple. I liked the bale sweep but I couldn't use it to unstack. I hope mine works as well as yours

Reminds me I HAVE to build a 'stone fork' now that I finaly found the 'steel step' material I stored  years ago.... I walk past it 15-20 times a day for 5-6 YEARS and FINALLY saw it....sigh....
First I need to make a SSQA plate though....

Rework the sweep this weekend.
Cut it down to 4 wide and welded it up better.
Got 194 bales off the field today in under 3 hours.
Have moved over 500 bales now and I am starting to get the hang of it.
On flat ground and with the bales laying straight, you can move on.
But that is less than half my fields.
A few times I loaded 8 bales in 2 min, then sometimes it would take 2 min to load one.
