So a friend and I haul an old ( 1982) 19' trailer home...only 1 light worked...Anyway I find out there's TWO 7 pin wiring arrangements ! Arrgh..... one for RV trailers, the other for car haulers,dumps,.....sigh...
Got me thinking if a guy owns both and RV trailer and a car hauler  you'd need an adapter..
I assume EVERYTHING is now standardized and the old 'RV trailer ' system is kaput .

Call three trvael trailers I've had and my car trailer are the same. Both goose necks and the stock trailer are also wired the same. The two newer ones still have the Rvia sticker on them. Our pastor bought an older horse trailer when he retired and had massive light problems. I had him bring it out to my shop and repaired it when I did I wired it to the Rvia standard. He also had a travel trailer so he threw away the adapter they had given him with the trailer.

The problem was Horse Trailers ....... all else is standard... Light should be OK, the Horse Trailer I think switched the BRAKE wire with the BATTERY CHARGE wire so the BRAKES came on all the time.......... lights and signals should be OK as I remember.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

They also made 2 different adapters to compensate for the charge being different.
