I spent a lot of time on I35 today. The FedEx semis are all pulling tandems. On the front box the lettering was Orange and blue. On the back box the lettering was blue and green. One or two might have been blue and yellow. Is there a reason for the paint to be Orange and blue on the front box and blue and green on the back box?

might be different destinations/ type of pkgs ? one is local, other is export ??
when I moved a mfg co one year, I stuck BIG color ed stickers on every box. At new place, movers put 'red stickered' boxes in the RED room....
Movers had never seen that before... they were done in one day !

Different colors designate different types of freight. Ground, air or freight. Freight is palletized. Meaning bumps a dock and unloaded with forklift.

I have a nephew who is a FedEx route manager.  He said the company is in the process of updating their logo & changing colors.  Since all the delivery trucks belong to individual franchise owners the transition may take a while.  Company trucks will likely transition sooner with franchisees ponying up the bucks to repaint theirs later.
