That they started corn planting today. Said it was no-tilling really good. He’s about 10 miles north of Indiana and Michigan line.

Still too wet here in the bottoms and more rain in store. May see it turn off too dry then will be scrambling to make anything grow.

The BTO's are all burying seed as fast as they can around here . The BTO my brother used to work for planted over 800 acres of soybeans 2 weeks ago . They claim the earlier they plant beans the better they do . They are experimenting to see how early they can get away with . My brother heard they want to eventually try and plant and harvest 2 bean crops in a year . I think they are crazy with the price of beans . They believe with the available varieties it is feasible . I am sure a late frost or early frost will bite them before long . I asked my brother how is their ground dry enough ? He says they farm all over the state . They have dry ground somewhere . corn going in central KS last week but had a rain roll through early monday morning so most at a standstill again

Can't believe how cheap corn and beans have gotten,, to many foreign countries have gotten good at farming too??? Say nothing is driving the markets

the big green farmers here have put fertilizer on the corn stalk ground 3 times now, still not planted, but they are gonna do corn on corn here this year.

Not much happening around here yet. We are going to be experiencing SNOW here tomorrow ,,,,,,,,,,WET HEAVY,,,,,,,,,around 4" of that nice pretty.........Grrrrr..........

They were talking snow here Sunday morning......"for now", they say no more. Well that would be nice. I'd like to get some field work done, but no way in H E double hockey sticks would I put corn seed in the ground at this time of year up here!!!!
