Serial # is D6200 was wondering what year it was and also what tractors they put gas motors in that would be interchangeable ? Thanks

Serial # puts it at '63. My guess would be a D-17 Gas motor of the same vintage should exchange.  I have heard it said that there is a difference in the crankshafts, not real sure, so obviously save the old crank...  Good Luck, and welcome to the forum...Thumbs Up

Our machine is D-4997, 1956 vintage and has been shown at the Orange Spectacular and the LeSueur Pioneer Power show the last two years. It is a D Special. My picture posting skills are zip.

Another question was an oil filter it had a Napa gold 1515 but not sure if it’s right

That filter suggests it has full flow oiling system

Recently installed electronic ignition on my Model D grader, ser.# D 1549. Much improvement and seems to have more power. Axle seals on the tandem were leaking. Found all bearings damaged, also had to send all 4 axles to the machine shop for repair. Found approx. 3 inches of sludge in each chain case. Cleaned this out, reinstalled axles, bearings, seals, new retainer nuts. Operates like a new machine. Just need to paint it. Nope, no repaint. It`s a working machine.
