A friend of mine has a 60 Oliver that needs a tire. He said he just wants a useable tire even if it needs to be booted. Just wants to be able to drive it around the yard and he doesn't care if it a 10, 11, or 12 x32. Something near SE MN. Thanks. Lonn

Those sizes haven't been made for about 40 years. Available used tires that old tend to be hard and cracked. The same size tires are known as 11.2, 12.4, and 13.6 these days. Used to be the rim width was the number, it changed to the widest part of the tire.

Bump. and..........

I know about the tire size old vs new. I have, somewhere, an old Goodyear tire size chart dated early 1960's and it shows there are 3 different sets of numbers used over the years. First ,for example, the 11.2x24 went to 13x24 then to 14.9x24. So, a WC which originally came out with 11.2x24 use today's 14.9x24 to get the same size tire.

Also the guy who wants this tire said he can special order a new one for around $400 but I've known him and his family for all my life and I know none of them have hardly a dime to their name. Long story on this family. Nice as can be though.

Miller Tire explains the designation changes and sells all sizes, for a premium.

9.5 x 32 is still available, and I believe that is what most people use on the JD H and Oliver 60 (there are not many others that use that size)
