This winter is dragging on and I've finished just about all my jobs for the winter. Now I'm scratching for things to do. One thing is on my white tractors the hydraulic outlets really suck to get hooked up to. You have to pull the hose twords you then at the same time push your implement into the hose and then release everything. Have you guys ever converted your tractors to something better? I was thinking something like John Deere has where you just push the hose in and you're done. I looked at the valves all states offered with the handles on the valves to help in hooking up hoses with pressure on them but they want a pretty penny for them |

I'm not impressed with the couplers on Dad's 4230! Like Pioneers a lot better. |

Really? The JD conical style, with the lever under the coupling to turn flow on? Huh....I LOVE those compared to pioneer, and wish Deere had never switched. Yeah, they wear out over time and need parts, but when in good condition I really like them.

The reason for the pull out to hook up allows the hose to unhook if caught and pulled or if you forget to unhook one of them btdtq ------------- You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul |

They may be worn out, I don't know. They have come uncoupled several times on me. Not crazy about hooking them up either. Probably doesn't help that I just don't like John Deere stuff. |

True, but the newer ones you can push or pull to release the balls, and will release for accidental causes like you just mentioned. It's nice because you don't have to fight against yourself to pull out the coupler while pushing in the hose. Push in to connect, pull out to disconnect, free to disconnect on emergency.

I put couplers like Tbone95 described on my 200. Same as the ones on a Kubota 9540 and others. The 7000 series couplers aren't too bad. The 7030 and 7050 weren't the greatest but many were updated to the later 7000 series. I have found that on some 7000 series the little lever or plate that you pull gets bent or doesn't have enough of a hump where the plate pushes the coupler. Easy to remedy IMO. | Thank you for all the help. I'm going to try and clean my couplers and try and mount them a bit better. We will see how this works this spring. I may be revisiting this subject this summer. |

| I put Safeway push/pulls on the 6080. I had to mill a new plate out as they are a bit smaller diameter. I’m going to do the same on the 7020 and 8070. There is a fixed body that may be an 8450 that I may put on our 185. |

| Does anyone make something like the later 7000 couplers. We bought a Steiger and it has all older Deere couplers and need changed out. I hate to spend what it costs for the pioneer lever couplers. |
