Every now and then I see an Allis/Simplicity garden tractor with a sickle bar mower. What is the biggest cut with these sickle bar mowers? Where could I find them near NY?

I have one for sale all restored for a B series Tractor in Northern NJ if interested. It also can come with the wifes custom built B110 Tractor it's attached to right now. I'm at work and don't have a pic of the mower, but I have a pic of the Tractor its attached to in my file on here. If yer' interested let me know. I can send a couple pics of the mower.   Mower $900. w/Tractor $2500.  Also, have a freshly painted and restored snowblower attachment to. 3k for the whole shootin match....

The Allis 616, 620, 720 & Simplicity 4040, 4041, 9020 tractors use a 57" sickle bar mower, but are hard to come by. They are out there however.

No, this is the earliest, hand lift version.  They can be had $250-350.  The later cable lift types run 300-450ish.  There are usually a handful on craigslist at any given time.  There was a really nice Simplicity cable lift one for $200 down by Indianapolis that a friend of mine had a hard time selling.

I may be getting my hands on an AC garden tractor sickle bar in a week or so that I won't need. I will post pics. I am in the Central N.Y. Finger Lakes region.

Went to look at it today. Didn't get any pics because of the weather but it is not seized up. I was able to move the mechanism. Looks like it was on the back of a 712. I'm getting 3 tractors 2 712's (one is an H. Not sure of the other) And I believe a B series. (Again didn't stay out in the weather and mud too long) Also possibly a good deck, a snow blower that turns,  a rear mount tiller that turns, a big front mount snow dirt plow and a mid mount grader blade. My friend thinks one tractor will run the others not so sure. If you know of anyone looking for any of this stuff let me know. I plan on picking stuff up in a week or 2

Are you related to Jill? I used to work at the Napa store and now work part time at the Geneva Hospital. I set up at the steam pageant along the fence in the area where the AC group sets up. I have all Wheel Horses
