Subject: 3 point question on 7000

This is how the 3 point was set up on my 7000. My manual shows the sliding nut on the bottom of the swivel. In the next pic I'm posting I
put the nut on the lower side. What it used to hold it in place? A bolt? There was one in it but it was bent and almost sheared off.
Any help appreciated.

This is how I think it should be. Maybe both?

They used a hardened "picker pin" to hold in place. We took them out when using on 3 pt cultivator and bale carriers. This was on  late 200 and 7000.

Correction, we moved them to lower hole to allow implement to move more.  Your second picture has it installed as from OEM.

KJ, You are saying the second hole down was used as a float position?

That's the way it was designed. In the up position there was zero side to side float. In the lower position it allowed the hitch to float, especially needed with WIDE mounted implements.

I have the spacer on top on my 7000. It gives you more 3 pt lift height. I needed that when I used to pull a front fold Deere planter. It got the planter units higher off the ground when in transport position.
