I got a heck of a deal on (think it was 18 volt) DeWalt with two batts and charger of course.  No book.  It is a hammer drill.

So it has three settings on the drive.  i can figure out the hammer and the setting for using the variable clutch.

It has one more setting with an icon that looks like a screw with a common blade top.  What the heck is that for.?  Confused

Should be a series of numbers on the head as well, those denote when the Clutch disengages while driving screws. 1 is Weakest 20 0n my 1/2" 18 on the 3/8 for almost full power then a Drill emblem for steady full power to chuck.

That is a locked position. No clutch or hammer just for driving long screws like deck screws.

You are correct Thad, Thanx.

I had the torque set so high in the clutch position that I never reached the limit to make it clutch.  A little messing around and I am right on the money.

No more Black and Deckers for me.  Wink
