Just curious what best method you guys do. I Installed the head torqued to 60 foot lbs in stages. Then when i get to that point of running it run till operating temp and re-torque if reading book correctly

You should be good proceeding as you describe. Re-torque is just go around them at 60 ft.lbs.

Head torquing details are in the shop manual. There is a sequence and the torque.
