I am new to this forum and I apologize if there is already a thread for ageing a forklift. I recently purchased a Model: ACC 50 LS PS Serial: AHC87990 forklift. I was wondering if the serial number could tell me the year it was manufactured. I have also attached a photo but I am not sure if is the original paint job.

Welcome to the forum, you're at the right place. Serial# info on A-C forklifts seems to be scarce like hens' teeth... someone may come up with some information for you... my guess is probably from the 70's some time.

don't know about age but try http://www.lieratedmanuals.com" rel="nofollow - www.lieratedmanuals.com for a service manual. Search 'allis forklift' and you'll get 200+ hits, you'll need to read them find out which is yours, but lots of ACC version FLs in the list...
the trick is NOT downloading the manuals for protble kitchens, tanks, halftracks and some really weird stuff....!
