I've had a log get serious with the tilt hoses on ours, including wrecking one of the fittings to the pipes beside the radiator.  It has been "farmerised" and the one good one is a JIC flare that appears to have had the nut expanded.  And it has been sealing on the outer rim of the flare.  The screw nipple feels like it should seal in the centre of the nipple - I can't really get a look.

The parts book doesn't give fittings or type/dimension - only a made-up hose.

So I have 14 tpi, somewhat bigger than an SAE nut, not flared and seals in the centre.

5/8 BSP looks a possibility?  Apparently common on European machinery.  And our supplier who would know is closed for Xmas/New Year.

Anyone got any more info?

I don't have a good answer for you but will offer this. 1/2" and 3/4" NPT, we have in the states, both use 14 pitch thread. The thread is tapered. 1/2" will measure about 3/4" on the outside of the thread (tap drill is 23/32"). 3/4" will measure about 1" on the outside of the thread (tap drill is 59/64"). You might want to look into these as well. Hopefully someone will have the actual size for you. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure that the pipe ends haven't been "farmerised" as they're still neat.  They'd have had to take the pipe assembly out to do that and that isn't trivial.

The nipple is about 22.5 mm over the threads or a bit bigger than 7/8" , so bigger than NPT by the look of it.  In the vicinity of 5/8" BSP though

Our supplier will be open Monday and I'll post what they come up with.

Would be handy going now as I'm using it to push mulga scrub for drought feed for cattle and deemed too old to do that with a chain saw.

Looks like we have an answer. 

Seems it is 5/8 inch BSP.  Local machinery dealer has never sold one.  They're trying to find if that to screw-in 1'2 inch hose fittings are available.

Fall back looks like a 7/8 inch UNF nut silver soldered to a JIC nipple - which is what the rest is "farmerised " to..

Correction on the nut needed.

Well it looks like that part may be in the catalogue but is like rocking horse output when you want two.

So it was nut, adapter and silver solder.

DIYDave - here we're pretty short of armish to provide examples so it is "farmerised" - very professionally in this case!

Caterpillar, at least Ziegler here in MN, stocks many of the hydraulic fittings used in Europe and Asia. They saved me several times on a gray market Komatsu machine.

Back in action but it wasn't that simple.

Correction - the nut used is 7/8" UNF not 5/8".  The unobtainable  fitting is 5/8" BSP.

So we silver soldered JIC fittings to 2 nuts at the dealer's place in town (just next door - 150 km away) and they wouldn't screw on when I got them back to the dozer.  So I bit the bullet and took the pipe assembly out, which turned out to be not so bad of a job.  Then the plan was to cut the Fiat nipple end off and silver solder the JIC on.  I was out of gas so talked to a neighbour who deals in things like this.  He thread gauged it and decided that the nipple had been expanded by the BSP fitting.  The pipe assembly is paired so no room to get a die on the threads.  So he heated and bent the pipes one at a time, worked the appropriate die on and redid the threads.  Bent the pipes back and Bob's your uncle.

I've just done around 5 hours pushing mulga as drought fodder for cattle and no leaks so far.
