Richmar,  With my father we sold the B for the life of the unit.
As to tread width's the basic one row B's are the same.  Yes, you can jiggle the wheels a bit by moving the wheels from side to side and setting the front wheels inside out but that is it.
However, there was a wide front B which had the dished rear wheels and the adjustable front axle.  You can easily recognize them with the dished rear wheels or the adjustable front axle.
The C was the B made for two row operation so the rear is wider and the standard C has a narrow front.  They did make a single wheel C and a wide front C.  The C rear wheels could be adjusted to the B width but the dished rear would make them wider.
If you have a B take good care of my favorite.
Good Luck!

At TractorData.com, the B dimensions page lists rear tread as 40 to 52 inches, and 40 to 60 inches. Does not note anything on either dimensions.

Are you referring to the distance between the wheels, or the rim width and tire size?  They could be had with rims for 7, 7.50, 8, 9, and 10" tires with 9 and 10 being available and seemingly the only options starting at B18055 and I would assume all C's.

Good point Aaron, and B18055 would be 1939.

Tread width is measured from center to center of tire.

What I wanted to know ,were the final drive housing the same on all B's  even the last ones built.  I know the  rear wheels were different,  on the later B's they were same as the C's . Did they keep the final drives the same even though the wheels changed  .

NO: Some of the final drives on the very late Bs has a flange axle like the C tractors to do away with the splined hubs.

The Build a B project tractor that I have has this style flange axles. The earlier B that had the 5 bolt hubs still had the splined axle with a 5 bolt hub.

From the parts book it looks like there was only 1 final drive casting.  It looks like at B #18055 they changed to the 5 bolt flanged axle.
