A fair amount of traffic here on the construction forum lately. Seems like every time I go on lately, there are some new posts here. I love the allis chalmers farm equipment, but the topics over here on the construction side of things are nothing less than fascinating. I need to get some of my AC construction equipment up and running so I can post some pictures of it in action. Only thing I have operational at the time is the 645 payloader (which actually belongs to my son). Stuff in the "work in progress" stage are HD5G track loader, model forty five road grader, and AD3 road grader. I have an HD6G track loader spotted for sale that is on my wish list. If I can snag that thing, I think it would be an operational unit.
Thanks to all of the recent posters on this side of the forum, and keep the good stuff coming. .....Mel, I know your busy, but are you hearing me. ? Lol! Darrel

When I was doing work every day I wanted to get a HD6 of the later years , then when I bought the FD5 dozer to replace the HD5B machine i had I kept saying i wanted to find a FL5 or FL7 machine as the later power shift is sure a great improvement as is a torque converter machine for the work I did .
Kind of like the HD4 machine I had but when I bought the 715B TLB that ended up being a machine tot got traded for a New Holland 785 skid loader .
Seems each time I tried a newer machine my ideas changed on what was next .
Still have the HD5G that I bought in 1972 though - seems it's like family now .

Darrel...I'm here with ya.. we got our first much needed rain storm this week.. almost 3'' the last couple of days. I feel your pain...about to many projects.  So FYI I have posts for our house...we moved in last week...in addition to the HD21G recovery...we acquired an HD21C dozer (less blade and rippers) at the same time. I also didn't want to enter into your post about 645 values...A friend gave us 2 of them to haul off. We got one home last spring...got it running. Got the fellerbuncher home...got cut off from the mill for delivering logs before we delivered any.So I'm going to get these posts done eventually...so my wife has been decorating the house.....and this sign I thought you would understand..

Welcome home Darrel. I have gotten so much information from this group just reading the posts. I only have one AC tractor,,a 1961 HD16DC. She runs strong and is fairly tight. Would love another but would be a challenge deciding what model to get. I’m thinking a grader as it would be very useful on the property.

Uhhhhhhh, Mel. You missed the part about my STRONG dis-like for cattle, and it is actually my WIFE who is the cattle baron. She gives the orders, and me and my son do the work. Lol! Darrel
