Have the chance to buy and exceptional clean and well maintained HD 16, Has had the brakes rebuilt tran gone thru with good tracks and rollers etc. What is something like that worth, Has great eye appeal when you walk up to it. been on a farm for 15 to 20 years.

not yet it is in side a barn. But I think my son bought it and getting the lowboy trailer ready to go pick it up. We do a lot of tractors but this is a bit out of our norm. But I think we will just keep it on the farm for our own use.

$16-18,000 here. I passed on a late 16B a while back, like new undercarriage, very clean records, second owner but lots of small eye catchers as to coming problems, had a Semi-U large capacity blade, sold for $12,500.

What's it worth? Easy answer - Price the jobs that it should accomplish for you. Hire an excavator for earth work & you'll soon learn it's worth.

Exactly.
But have to remember, a Contractor will also generally be using LATER model and manufacture machines with parts availability. Have to take that into account. I do as my Allis is bad for small progressive antagonizing failures when needed most or attempting to out work weather.
