As Monday is the day it is "celebrated", that is what I am sticking with...

I celebrated it on the 11th, along with all the Vets. Monday the celebrate it only cause all them politicos gits the day off that way. That's the closest 95% of em get to giving service to our country.....

I remember them everyday! our porch/deck lights are green when lit every day, remembering all who served and is presently serving protecting my fat butt!

I always remember them on the 11/11, that is the day. Also, not all veterans went to combat but are still honored on this day. If you served in any branch of the military, at any time, and received an honorable discharge, you are considered a veteran. By serving, you are providing support to any military action that may be occurring, even if you are not present in a combat zone.

My dad served in WW1, my brother in WW2 also Korea, and I served in the Korean war.

John(MI) ---- YES, it's VETERAN's day....ALL who served. Even though some were in the background, they were essential to ALL of us.

I see the respect today that is given to Vets and it brings a tear to my eye....WE weren't given that when we came home from Nam.. THANK you America for waking up.
