Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.

Hey Ken,,the way I do it is rt click on image, go to "open with" scroll to "paint" your image will open full size in pixels. Go to "file" in upper left and scroll down to "save as" then click on JPEG, click OK and your done.  You can change PNGs or Bitmaps to JPEG . I also use this to resize my images to the size recommended for most internet forumsClapClap Hope this helps,,,,

I use 'IRfan' as my 'picture program', have for years. Free, easy to use, has a zillion 'features' I never use..one day...maybe, one day.. I'll do more than just the basics...

I'm with Jay on this one!!!
I've used Irfan View since the first one.  Yes, it is still FREE and you wouldn't believe all the things you can do with it!  You can change from ANY picture ending to another with just a couple clicks.  You can make screensavers, rotate any which way, make panoramic pics, turn a color into a black and white, or even a negative.  THAT just scratches the surface!!

Of ALL the progs I have ever used, this one is a MUST!!  I don't know if he ever made one for the Mac though.  I know he was working on it but,,,,,,,,,,,

This one is worth more than gold!!  Did I mention it's FREE!?!?!

I managed after several attempts to make a BMP into a JPG.  See the Bobcat post.
