97 (estimated) Bs described  as TRACTOR, LIGHT, WHEELED, INDUSTRIAL,
TYPE (A-C MODEL B) Were bought by the War Department in 1942.

Get a PDF copy of  The War Department Manual  TM 9-782 describing the care and feeding of these 97 Military Bs.    A clone of just one exists in Austin Texas

How many other Allis tractor models ended up being painted OD Green beside these few Bs?  I presume they served in the military for something other than Farming.
Anyone have photos of OD green ACs they could post here?  May give an Idea of what they were used for>    Thanks
The man in Austin I met a while back Restored his 38 B into a 42 B to pull his collection of WWII Bomb Wagons.    He used to Post on the forum.   My brain won't let me remember his name.    I traded him a  42 B engine and transmission for his 38s incorrect parts

I'm trying to figure out why the War Department chose to order a modified Farm B over a IB.  I thought the Industrial IB would have been a better choice back in 1942. Were IBs not produced that early?
