How does an Allis 2WD out pull a White FWA?
Look at the total drawbar pull (max)
Does anyone have/had a White tractor to comment?

The speed at which max drawbar pull was measured makes a big difference.

Being tested on pavement takes a lot of the FWA advantage away.  And what were the ballasted weights when tested?  Most tractors test very close to tractor weight = drawbar pull, depending on speed/gearing like Lonn said.

In other words, if the Allis was heavier in Lbs./ HP ratio, and pulling slower speed, the numbers make sense.

The 8070 weighed 22,370 lbs total with the rear wheels weighing 17,830 lbs. The White only weighed 18,770 with 10,935 on the rear tires.  Cement surface doesn't mean an FWA will do better, especially when it weighs LESS. The truth is the White had almost 20 MORE drawbar HP at a higher ground speed. You've gotta know what you're looking at when it comes to these tests.
