Have 6080 fwa that has developed a 100series problem. It's jumping out of gear. Specifically the range trans likes to pop out of intermediate, the problem is magnified ×10 when the fwa assist is engaged. It is a loader tractor, so it's seen a lot of clutching. 4spd trans acts fine and stays in gear. Checked trans oil at fill plug, full. Any ideas? Open to suggestions. Also acts like range trans is binding up, when it pops out of gear it WILL NOT Go back into range unless tractor is rolled forwards or backwards with the loader.

Correct front/ rear tire sizes- i.e. wrong size tires will change the drive ratio, thus causes tire slippage and drive train takes a beating, especially on roads and hard packed soils?

Hmmm thoght I posted this , may have dozed off. The issue we have found is popping up more and more - it is the planetary gear set and needle brgs in the range - very common for new owners to not check the TRANSMISSION oil whjich is separate from the hydraulic oil which should be always run about a gallon over full.

Tbran, by oil level I'm referring to the oil fill plug in the right hand side of trans. It's full. Hydraulic in rear is also full. I betting your on the right path, you have pry seen plenty of this, what is the parts and cost associated with fixing this. Parts availability concerns me. Thanks guys

tbran - which one should be run a gallon over full in the 6000 series? Transmission or Hydraulic?

REAR END - Hydraulics - this is prevention of running low and seizing pinion gears to the shaft and destroying differential.
