Been calling around can't find one for gas they all say they have number for diesel. Anyone know part number or one that interchanges ? Thanks ------------- If it ain't orange it ain't worth ownin' |

Last one for a diesel I got from AGCO was wrong, ordered another from Sandy Lake, it was wrong also. Went to Napa, went thru a bunch before I found the correct one. Can't find the part number now. HTH Tracy ------------- No greater gift than healthy grandkids! |

It's the same one for all D17 gas and even for the old WD45 gas tractors. Call Tony at (503)767-3660 he will fix you right up, just say it's for a D17 gas. ------------- 3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep. |

It's a larger diameter then used in a typical '70's General Motors vehicle. Thermostat for 1977 International Scout II V8 is the same. I use a 180 degree.

I agree with Phil. With most of these tractors doing light work, a 180 degree or even 190 keep them burning clean. A lot of these tractors came from the factory with 160 degree thermostats which were great when we worked them hard on tillage day after day, but for the occasional use, and light duty 160 is a bit too low. Had problems with plugs fouling and hard starting until I switched to the higher temp thermostats. ------------- |

A hotter engine is more efficient. Today's oils can tolerate these warmer engines too. As long as you're not boiling the water you should be okay. |
