When did Allis switch from Green to Persian Orange? I am looking at a 1928 20-35 and the chassis is green but the hood and radiator are orange. What color should a 1928 be?

Thanks, Bruce Baier

Green in 1928.  In 1929 they switched to Orange.

A'28 should be green.  They were often repainted orange back in the day to make them look "modern"  to sell them at a dealer or whatever.  Same way that you seen tractors like WD's painted with cream wheels to look modern like the D series of that time frame.  After '29 they changed to Persian Orange #1.  When they started making 25-40's, as they were always orange.
