Does anyone know what the correct ohm range should be for an AC 175 fuel sending unit? I just bought a sending unit from All States Ag. The sender has the correct Agco part number stamped into it, so I'm assuming the correct unit was sent. I put an accurate ohm meter on it and it reads approximately 4 ohms empty and 39 ohms full. The gauge I have appears to be an AC OEM, its a Faria brand, but it has 3 terminals and I think the original only had 2 terminals, so I think its a replacement. The gauge instantly reads beyond full when the key is turned on. I'm hooking the wire from the sending unit to the center terminal on the gauge, when hooking the sending wire to the other terminal then nothing happens.
It appears the ohm range on the gauge doesn't match the ohm range on the sending unit.

Thanks

Thanks for the links to gauges and senders. I may end up going that route if I cant get this resolved. I'd like to keep them close to original if I can.
I did see on eBay there are some gauges for an AC 175 with an ohm rating of 5 to 37, that is very close to what my sender is. These look to be cheap gauges from China or India though.

You need to ground the gauge.  put wire from lower post to ground . left post to sender

Thanks Alvin, wiring the gauge as you described made it work.
The gauge doesn't fully read empty when the sending unit is at it's lowest point. It's reads just under 1/8 of a tank, but I'm okay with that.
