| Sorry can’t seem to find info. I have a 1001 running gear but not sure of rating. Was told 12ton but no clue. Thanks in advance on any help. |

Not original wheels. Currently has 8ply 11-16 flotation tires. Cat #is 2051547 and I guess model # is rusty but I believe it says 10100 Any idea of year? It really is a beast of a running gear. |

It's 10100 on ID tag is it's serial number which is usually labelled as 10 100. The 10 stand for ten ton & I'm going to guess that it's the 100th built? I think its Year built depends on its decal colors. Older gears (late 50s-1964?) usually have rear frame decal consisting of dark blue letters with orange outlines & no background color(just Allis-Chalmers letters in Blue). I'm thinking these were built during the later Diamond AC logo era. Newer gears built during the AC square logo era (1965-up) have rear frame decals consisting of black letters (Allis-Chalmers) printed over a whites rectangular background. If your wagon’s ID tag says it’s a cat no. 2051547, then you’ve got a later model 1010, not an earlier model 1001. Or at least it’s rear axle frame is a 1010. A 1010’s front steer axle frame has a forward tie-rod design. It’s tie-rod is placed forward, not behind, it’s front axle frame. The 1000 & 1001 models tie-rods are both located under & behind their front axle frame. Hard to put a year on it. Best I’ve gleamed is that the 1010 models were manufactured in the early-mid 1970s era. |
