| I have a couple sickle mowers (80R and 82T ) ,and on the 82T, all of the wear parts on the cutter bar are pretty well all shot. What do you other allis sickle mower owners use for guards, sections, and hold downs on your mowers, being allis stuff isn't available. .? Thanks, Darrel |

Herschel has all the parts. I went online and ordered the stuff I wanted. Actually Tractor Supply Generic wear bars work The guards are the same as some other brands like Ford ------------- Charlie '48 B, '51 CA, '56 WD45 '61 D17, '63 D12, '65 D10 , '68 One-Ninety XTD |

If you don't have many rocks the New Holland double guards will really make the mower cut good,used them on a 82S for several years.

I like the New Holland double, used them for years. Probably will need one single to fill the spaces up. Tracy ------------- No greater gift than healthy grandkids! |

| I use the New Holland double point guards also, they work great. Also Webb Cutting Components manufactures bolted sickles, they can also get the sickle head if needed. They are great to work with and have been doing it for years. Good Luck, Mike! |

| I've bought everything from the local farm stores for all my brands of cutters I've owned thru the years. I just take the old pieces in and match them as close as I can, some are the same, some I've had to modify a bit (grinding down to fit). has always done the job! |

I know its evil: but on my 80R since i was a John Deere Parts Manager, i used the double guards off the deere windrowers with one single deere rockguard and it never complained a bit, cut lots of acres of irrigated alfalfa that way. (helps to be red/green color blind anyway) |

The small bearing is a fairly unusual style used mostly in aircraft applications.
The A-C # is 804502.
The MRC number for it is KP8.
It may still be available from A-C but I expect it will be a bit "pricey".
I have found the cheapest source is: Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. in
Corona, CA.
I bought a couple of them 10 years ago and they were $33.30 each at that time.
Some of the early #7 Twin-Wheel mowers may have used a smaller bearing (KP6).
The larger bearing is quite common: A-C #804501.....Bower/BCA #304DD.
About half the price of the smaller bearing.
