Hey guys, I've owned a AC D14 for about 6 months now.  It is the first tractor I have ever had.   It has been great and I use it just about every week.  I noticed today it started sounding rough.  I noticed the oil had very low pressure.   I put 3-4qts in the top block and 30 minutes later it is rough again and no pressure.  I look underneath...no drain plug!  I guess it fell off at some point.   At least that small hole looks like it would be the oil drain plug right?    Second question.  That metal circle hanging there goes flush up against the bottom when I push it in but it doesn't feel like it would be flush to hold any fluid back.  Is that large cirlce have oil on the other side that it is keeping in too?   What is that large circle piece called?   I can't find where I can buy one.  Thoughts guys?  Appreciate your help. :)

um hate to be the bearer of bad news but the engine oil drain plug is on the oil pan, bottom of the engine.
if all the oil's coming out the 'big hole', you  probably have a very leaky 'rear main seal'
the big hole is at the bottom of the  clutch housing and it should be dry.
I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in, looks like you'll be splitting the tractor to fix though.

As for your oil pressure gauge. If you ran the engine out of oil the gauge should be reading no oil pressure, not low oil pressure. If it started running rough you already have engine damage. Generally the first thing you'll see is a rise in engine temperature, eventually followed by engine seizing.

yeah, I was just going to come back and say this very thing that it isn't the oil drain plug.   So what I'm hearing is I have to take this thing apart to fix this?

If it's losing oil that fast you have a major seal leak. It couldn't leak worse if there were no seal installed at all. While it's apart you might want to check the rings and bearings. Hopefully you didn't damage the crankshaft.

At the very least, by the looks of that clutch inspection hole cover, you need to split tractor, and clean up clutch, and instal rear oil seal, and pan gasket.  If you have it apart, and the oil pan off, might as well check all the bearings. This means major teardown...Cry

Might be a major teardown, but I've done mine twice in a years time. 

It's not as bad as I thought it would be.  I did a little bit at a time.  When I got frustrated, I had a whiskey and a cigar until the frustration subsided.  Sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't.

oil pump is also located at the top right of the flywheel it could be leaking as well.

that's what I was thinking... pump gasket failed, or the tube screwed into it broke........ but if the engine is rough, your still going to have to pull the pan and look at bearings.
