I have been working on a new to me AC 7060 (1981) and just tried hooking up to a JD round baler. There are 3 rear remotes and I have tried connecting the baler to all 3 and could not get the it to open or show any reaction from any of them. Steering and 3 point work fine (other that the 3 point will leak down and drop when parked).
I do not have a gauge large enough to test if I have any pressure at the remote connections yet.
When operating the remotes from the cab, I can hear what sounds like the pump bogging down.
There are no stems with roll pins on the hydraulic unit for the 3 remotes. #1 has the flow adjustment inside, #2 and 3 just has a rubber plug on the rear where I see photos where the roll pin should be located.
Any help would be appreciated since there is no AC dealers here.

Your hyd hose tips don't mate with the tractor couplers.

The flow adjustments are on front of valves, but that is not the problem. Pull two remote levers at same time and see if one works.   Mack

Never thought that maybe the issue. The AC has the "P" type and the baler has the ball type.
I'll have to pickup a couple of  1/2" P style and give that a try.
Thanks for the reply.

I found a couple of P style couplers in the barn that were a little rusty on the ends. Cleaned them up and made sure they were operational.

That worked! Baler will open and close now. Still have to run into town and get some new shiny ones.

Although in the process of trying different remotes, the cable on #2 broke and I can't see a way to get to the valve side without removing the cab? Are these cables still even available?

Yep. John Deere male couplers won't work. Had this same problem on with my '80 7010 last week.

Replace the Allis chalmers couplers with pioneer couplers. I've changed over all my tractors the allis couplers don't always work with non allis male couplers.

Dave,

Have you noticed that all pioneer male ends do fit into Allis female so you don't have to change the tractor couplers.

Just use the ISO standard (pioneer) ends on the hoses... and you can use any tractor with any piece of equipment on your farm.
