I took the carb off my D 14 and cleaned it out, Put it back together and it runs pretty good but seems like it still stopped up,, Once in awhile it will act like its straving for fuel and then take off and smooth out. Any ideas of something I missed and also can the venturri in the carb be placed backward or does it make a difference.
I sprayed a couple of pasture fields with it.. I enjoy using the little tractor
Thanks Forum Friends for your help

I don't think it would run with the venturi  upside down. Could be a restricted fuel line or a governor issue

Thanks for your reply as to my carb.. Ive checked the gas tank and found nothing stopping the flow of gas, I was wanting to put in a inline filter would that hurt with gas flow. Maybe I need to take it off and clean it again.. I spray pastures with it,   again thnks Rodd

When it acts like it needs fuel or is missing, reach down and choke it a little and see it it smooths out or not. That should confirm if you have a real gas issue.  My D14  does it too and I know I have to clean out the tank this fall. Usually it smooths out from bumping along and reminds me to put it on the to do list.   If choking it makes it worse you might not have a fuel issue.  Good luck.  I love both of my D-14's.
