I restored a 56 b. Cant seem to get front main to not leak. I have the timing cover centered. Put a new seal and still leaks. My seal is a lip seal without the spring. Do they have a double lip seal with spring that fits. Any help please

the original seal was leather and there was a spiral groove in the shaft to pull a drip onto the leather........If the groove is still there, you have to clean it out and fill with JB weld and sand smooth, or get a " speedy seal" which is like a .003 thick stainless sleeve that you  press over the shaft... Your rubber seal should have a spring.. I though all of them did. Normally you press the seal into the housing, then slide the housing over the shaft. The seal centers the housing while you bolt into place.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
