Been nursing a kidney stone since Saturday. All I can do to stand it. At times it feels like a knife being stabbed in my back. ER said it was 4mm in size and half way to the bladder.I pray it will pass soon, am sure Hannah does too! Prayers appreciated. Tracy

You got 'em, Tracy! Do this, if you can or want to, to help with relief. I'm just trying to help you with what I know.
This is from my Dr. buddy years ago. KIDNEY STONE CLEANSE
Drink 1 6-pack of Coke Classic within 2.5 hours After that, drink 4 ozs. of puree asparagus. At bedtime, drink 4-6 ozs. of water. First thing in the morning, drink 6-10 ozs. of water.
The phosphorus in the Coke dissolves the stone(s). The body will see that much sugar as medicine and do it's job. The asparagus adds it's help to them and move them out. The water flushes them through the tubes. Distilled/filtered water goes through quicker.

Prayers Coming At Ya Young feller, I walked into the office early one morning in 1975, found a coworker laying on the floor with one of those darn rocks stuck 1/2 way between here and there. He couldn't get up far enough to call for help. The town I lived in at that time did mot have a horsepistol. It was about a 30 minute ride to the ER. I think they broke it up with some sort of laser or sound waves. He was back at work a week later. Good luck with yours. Just a silly suggestion, You might borrow one of those power operated grease guns like they use at Hutch, Use an adapter, shoot a little grease-- well never mind as I said a silly suggestion.

I've been there. Fall of 2016 had the first attack. Drove about 130 miles home from an auction, suffered until morning. Went to ER and stayed 2.5 days. Found out I had heart issues while there and a year later had 2 valves replaced Nov. 2017, Had 6 or 7 attacks during this time that I was able with real determination to blow out of there on my own. Then in May 2018 had the most recent attack on a Thursday afternoon, went to ER Friday morning, out by 1 PM. Felt great. Hit me again late afternoon and back to ER Sat. morning and finally released Tuesday evening. I used to drink alot of Diet Pepsi. Not any more. Other than water it's lemonade and apple juice for me. Everytime I broke that rule I paid for it dearly. I wish you the best with your ordeal.

Prayers sent Tracy. Been there, back in early 90s I had two attacks within 2-3 months of each other. I got to reading anything and everything I could on the matter. Read that if you take magnesium every day and do not take vitamin C. (?????) I did and still do and have NOT had another attack sense, and believe me for those that have never had the problem, you do not want the problem. I`ve been told it ranks up there with child birth.

DJ, you're RIGHT!! One of the WORST poisons!!!!!
Tracy, I'm praying for you to have a QUICK and SUCCESSFUL dissemination of that pain in the,,,,,,,,,,er um,,,,,,,ding-a-ling.
To make you laugh a little, my wife's old boss had one and it was killing him. Well, one day at work (he owned a restaurant) he had a terrible pain and the urge, so he went into the latrine. Came back out with a smile on his face. We all figured out what had happened, but got a surprise when he said; "I almost got killed in there. When it came out, it bounced off the stool, the wall, the door and then the wall again and then hit me in the head". We all had a good laugh!! Hope you do too and maybe it'll create enough pressure for you to pass that rock!

Update on pain! I hurt so bad last night I went to ER about 3 am. They gave me tordol for pain. Xrayed stones. Dr said best he could tell it had made it to the bladder or was right at that point. Urine showed no infection. He said probably would pee it out soon. I feel much better and had some rest. Continue praying and thanks for all the prayers! God Bless! Tracy

Pee often? Yeah good luck with that! I'm on a capsule called Maxiflow the last two months and no more attacks.........yet. It is compared to child birth. I told my wife the other day, what if a 9 month pregnant gal got kidney stones at the same time. Heaven help her!

Latest update! Friday was really tough. Went to work and was getting by barely. Sit down and started to get up. Something pinched in my back. Could hardly walk. Got everything shut off. Drove home almost laying down in seat. Got to front door. Hannah met me and got my shoes off. Took a pain pill. Didn't help at all. Tried toughing it out. Finally about 5:00 Saturday morning, Hannah took me back to ER. Really hurting by now. They gave me Tordol and help a little. Then Morphene, knocked it down a while. Took catscan, found it was fixing to go into bladder. Gave me more fluids an dalaudid. That stuff made me feel woosy, pain almost gone in a few. Let me stay awhile will more fluids. Pain was gone. Said it should fall and pass soon. I came home a drank fluids like crazy. Slept a little while. Woke up with worst hangover in my life. Threw up some , suffered a while more. Drank more fluids. About 12:30 this morning it passed. No trouble at all. Pain was gone but still had hang over headache. Feel pretty good now, back still pains from the catch Friday but all is hopeful now. Said I have three more in kidneys. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes. They meant a lot. Hannah has been a trooper through this, I owe her big time! God Bless! Tracy

Glad it’s over for ya! Sometimes those pain killers after effects are worse than the pain they are blocking, take it slow and give your body time to recover!
