Just starting to educate myself on D15 propane fuel systems.

I have a D15 propane and it ran well from idle to full throttle. Removed the propane tank to have it serviced " leaky valve and gauge" and now i have to run it on 1/4 choke. At 1/4 choke it runs fine thruout throttle settings.
I have found some info in the D14 and D17 service manuals but not much help in trouble shooting.

Your local propane gas supplier should have their own Pro From Dover who can help you with this. I know the flow of fuel should be off when the engine is off and the slightest vacuum should draw fuel. I know nothing else.

did they rebuild or replace the valve?  If you didn't do anything to the carb or regulator, it sounds like the valve is different now and gas flow is wrong.

I went over the other day and with Ben, we look at couple other items on the tractor.
Since there the regulator is not that easy to get parts for wanted to check everything else before even though about opening up the regulator.
No to the change out of the valve.
Also check the compression most were at 140LB.

He had new set of Plug wires, these were change out , check the points for the correct openings, set the timing.
The D 15 propane runs better for sure.
Still could use a new set of points.

Thanks Rich

The tune up sure helped.
But I believe just you driving it around with that BIG smile on your face is what made it run better.

Gave the regulator diaphragm a good exercise and now it PURRRRS !!!!!!
