I have searched high and low, even found an original owners manual. I can't find the lift capacity of a 5020 3pt hitch anywhere. Do the experts know? It's a fwa if that matters.
Thanks

I have a MF 220 which is about the same tractor as the AC 5030 and the 3pt will lift way more than the front end can hold down even with a couple front weights on it.

I looked up on tractordata, but no number however it's kinda like my Kubota BX23s in size,hp, features, so I'd guess 1,000 #. Tires should be stamped what they will support..while NOT 'lift' amount, a good indicator. Lifting is one thing but unless you weigh down the front..well it could be 'interesting' ! Jay

While the pressure is a start, there's a lot of math involved to compute what it will lift. 'silly' little details like cylinder size, pivot points, hyd eff( 90% +- ?),strength of lift arms, how close the load is to tractor, etc. Perhaps an easier route is to see what implements can be used with it. The MFR/seller should post the weight(say of a plow), if only for 'shipping purposes'. just an idea.

This weblink doesn't answer your 3pt capacity question, but I thought It was an interesting read. http://gardentractortalk.com/forums/topic/37081-a-little-on-the-hinomoto/" rel="nofollow - http://gardentractortalk.com/forums/topic/37081-a-little-on-the-hinomoto/

In both, it only list 3pt as category I, with no lift capacity numbers. In the 1979 lit, it has only one 50" wide rotory tiller( no model info about it.) In the 1982 lit, it shows two rotory tillers - a 48" & 54". Other than stating these attachments were AC branded or Companion Branded, they don't list any further specs about them. Some other 3 pt attachments for it include; 72" Rear Scraper Blade, 72" Rear Grader Blade, 14" one bottom plow, 60" Rear mounted rotory mower, Post hole digger-4' augers 6", 9", or 12" diameters, 66" Box Scraper, 1row 52" cultivator, 5.5' (16"blades or 6.5' (20" blades) Disk harrows, 48" Front loader, 60" snow thrower.
On another previously replied note about it's tire load ratings. All tires, standard & optional, have a 4 ply load rating. In 1979, standard rear tires 11.2-24 or 12.4-24 4ply R1. In 1979-82, a 13.6-16 R3 4ply was available on 5020 2wd only.
75lb front end & 125lb rear wheel weights were also offered. The 75 lb front end weights somewhat resemble older 100 series slab style, except I'd say they're in more of a bar shape(long narrow shoe box size bar - maybe 4"x4"x14"?). A few pictures display a 5030 2wd with 3 75lb front end weights is pulling a 6.5'? 3pt disk in a field. A 5020 2wd has an AC 430 loader on it & states that loader at fully lifted has a capacity of 720lbs.

Wow! Thanks for all the great info. It appears that they never published the number I'm looking for but the replies given on this thread have given me enough info to make an educated guess!
Thanks for all the help.
