I have a 6341 Zetor FWD 1500 hrs. that a bought new in 03. Tractor is mostly used in hay and feeding cattle in winter as it has a cab. As spring progressed it was not used as much but one day I noticed a small hesitation that I thought was an issue with the slave cylinder on clutch. Over the weekend cleaned the tractor up to prepare for baling hay. Started to take it over the hill to smooth out some ruts but when I started up hill it just quit pulling . No grinding , popping etc. Again thought it might be a clutch issue as if it set for a while it would pull for a short distance. Then discovered if I engaged FWD that it would move and clutch seems fine . Has us baffled.....also engaging differential lock has no effect. If ring gear has come loose why no noise ?? Broken axle ? Seems like it would move with differential lock. Just seeking ideas and if anyone has experienced this situation. Thanks for any input

Need to look at parts or service manual. It may have a saftey coupler to the ring and pinion. And since its 4wd and it's engaged by transmission gears it would allow it and clutch to work. Old small HP Masseys used couplers and once in a while they do their job. No noise if when broke!

That's a good possibility...Did look at shop manual , if rivets came loose ring gear could be spinning. There's a plate on bottom of axle housing we can maybe see what's going on

I own a couple of them, a 7745 and a 6340 mudder. I had a guy working for me turning compost with an in row compost turner with the 6340 in creeper gear. He didn't realize the brake was locked up on one side and twisted the axle in half. Zetor's are notorious for the brakes locking up.

It could also be the ring gear but either way, I suspect the brakes had something to do with it. Good luck!

Every brand has it's problems but I know all about the brakes 😉I really have got pretty good service out of this tractor. But having a nice place to work on them is a must !!
