The bearings in the spindle hub shot turds and destroyed the spindle. The unit is a early serial number! Is it a solid axle and what's the best way to replace it? AGCO parts book shows stub shafts in it on later models?

Sounds like a trip to a machine shop. Get a new one made, and weld it in.

The hub you can get anywhere.

Get one with a grease nipple or put one in.   Then grease your other one(s) too.

A new spindle isn't the bad part, getting the old one out usually is.

What we have done with welded in spindles that have to be replaced is, after the spindle is removed, weld in a piece of schedule 80 pipe, the spindle slides into the pipe, then run a bolt through the pipe and the spindle. Makes replacement the next time a lot easier.
