It is with deep sadness that I regret to inform you all that R. Lee
Ermey ("The Gunny") passed away this morning from complications of
pneumonia. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

I love to watch the Military History Channel - Mail Call and got to know him there. Frankly, I remember Full Metal Jacket but did not place him there. I hold "Gunny" in very high regard. Even today on the Military History Channel I hear his voice on some of the sections. Simply irreplaceable. Will really miss him. I am surprised that the Military History Channel has not mentioned his passing. Good Luck! Bill Long |
