Got to play with my new to me blade today. Got about 3", so it was just the right amount. Blade needs a little TLC, but works for snow.

Was having so much fun, I cleared half the neighborhood.

Sorry about the pic size. I cropped them thinking that would help. Might get it figured out yet.

Ah yes...I remember the last time I posted a photo of the 8N blading 3" of snow a couple years ago (Ironically our most recent snow as well)...everyone said that was good, because 3" was all the 8N could handle. LOL

But yes...looks like a great setup, and I'm sure you're neighbors were glad! If they weren't...well...you need new neighbors! I remember when I was a younger kid (I think it was in 2008) we got a pretty good snow, and the drifts in some places were taller than the pickup! That was a fun year for us in the neighborhood with tractors, as there were 5 or 6 of us all out helping each other blade the neighborhood, and each others driveways (city trucks don't come out where we live). A couple guys had rear blades, Dad and I had front end loaders, and one guy had both! It was fun. Blading snow is one of my favorite things to do, even on a tractor with no cab or heat houser, but ol' Shameless is either too greedy, or doesn't think I deserve any "pretty" even though I gots a Ferd in the barn...

Aw Creston, you don't get the cold we do here in WI.  It IS NOT any fun pushing or pulling snow when it's -30........  Now I REALLY feel guilty, we got us a BUNCH in the last two days... When you get as old as I am,,,,,,you won't think it's fun anymore....

Trucker, GET some chains on that WD/WD45.  Weight helps, but once you start compacting,,,,,,,,,she don't wanna go too good.  Also then, you feel invincible and go to great lengths to get er stuck!! LOL

Wow, -30!!!! That’s horrible! If it gets in the single digits here that is pretty cold. But… The wind always howls down here on the Southern Plains ( it’s even in our state song!) making it feel much colder than it is.

I've got a set of really aggressive twisted link chains for my WD. Just didn't feel like spending 2 hours to put them on the WD45 for one day. We had bare ground until this 3" of fluff showed up. Wasn't to worried about getting stuck. Realized I may want some weight on the front next time.

The trick is to set the picture display size (left blocks on the picture loader) to 640 wide by 480 high.
