Hi all, I've been trying to find a pic I know I have seen of a pull behind back blade for a kids pedal tractor. For the life of me I can't find it now. I probably saw it here, but am having no luck searching for it. It was a simple design, had a tube hitch that went back to an upside down U shaped piece that the two wheels were attached to. In between the wheels and tractor was the blade that could be raised and lowered in the two positions by another simple hand lever and notched plate. Anyone know what I'm talking about? And where I can find that pic again? Trying to plan ahead for my nephew, and thinking about building one for him, but I'd like to see exactly how it was done again before I start from scratch. I'm assuming this was a custom made thing, or did they by chance actually make these black blades back in the day? | I've never seen one it looks home built. The only implements I've ever seen were the square trailers and the gravity box trailers. I have one of those. My dad built a front blade for my farmall pedal tractor when I was a kid. He also used a flat blade like in the picture. I'd think a factory built one would have had a curve to the blade. I have seen a trailer hay mower that was also homemade. But that was 40 years ago. |

So I contacted Mr Bryan Mesz tonight, and he was more than gracious to provide me a bunch more pictures with a tape measure on parts so I can make one of these for my nephew. He gave me his blessing to share the photos, so I have added them to my Pedal Tractors album above. According to him, he thinks they were a produced unit, because he found a picture of another one just like his while doing a Google search. And if there are at least two exactly the same, chances are it is not a home made unit. It might not have been from Allis, but I really don't know one way or the other. Just thought I would share what info I was given. It can't be argued that it is one sweet unit though. And my nephew has the perfect gravel driveway to use it on.

Good thinking. I may modify this plan slightly anyway. Where was this stuff when I was a youngin ? I could have leveled the drive up something nice. LOL !!! Oh well,they never would have bought it anyway.
