What is the difference between the Sanden and  the Nippendenso compressor?
Why is one better than the other?

I have a JD 4050.  It has a TY6626 Nippendenso compressor. (Denso 6E171).
There is a Sanden conversion available.

The compressor clutch is worn out. This was caused be a frayed wire.
Considering replacing just the clutch.  The compressor turns.
Suggestions on sources for compressor or compressor clutch parts?

If I change the compressor, I will flush the system, replace the expansion valve and receiver/dryer.  I have the specs for the amount of PAG oil and freon.

Clutch is still available from Deere-RE10975 for about $185. The dealer I work at has put some Sanden's in to update to R134 systems vs Deere compressors. AP Air is where we get ours from but we also update line's also so cost goes up.

The 4050 was converted many years ago.
Paul, in your opinion, is the Sanden better than the Denso?

The Delco's were the one's that got replaced with the Sanden. Denso's are longer lasting that I've seen so if it has a denso we would put a reman denso back on not a sanden

Thanks Paul.  I will stick with the Denso.

The classic car people like the Sanden because it can handle 6K RPM and they use the least amount of engine power.

If I get up to 6K RPM, I have problems.

I just ordered a new A/C compressor.
There was a rough spot in my old compressor.
The rough spot may have been a contributing factor in the failure of the clutch.
