Have seen lots of different strategies for fighting the battle of the notorious brake pin.
I had my epiphany several years ago after wrestling the hard way with a set of pins.
I haven't seen this method mentioned and found it to be the easiest or less hard. I removed the rod from the pedal to the shoes, (or twisted rod off) I then used hammer and punch and drove rags in oval shaped hole, used a 2 inch plumbing test plug and plugged inspection hole in bottom of casting, then poured cavity full of old diesel and motor oil I had sitting around, and waited 2 weeks and used air chisel to drive pin out. I noticed this one has one brake drum 1.75 inches wide and the other is 2.00 any ideas?

thanks

Some one did not get drum on axle far enough and brake shoe wore drum down 1/4 inch.     MACK
