Hi folks it"s been awhile , I need some help once again . We have just picked up another Allis 7060 that was not running , that's number 4 plus our 7010 makes 5 of these sweet orange machines we now have . This one is a 4400 serial number with a 3500 series engine in it . It was sitting in a field for 5 years not running , got it fired up drove it home 5 milesthen started to get ready to work . Lots of electrical issues , no lights ,tach, gauges , push start switch etc. . I have repaired almost all electrical , fuel , heat gauges , installed mechanical oil pressure gauge , light switch etc. . Had the Delco Remy 3 wire alternator rebuilt , I don"t think it"s the right alternator for this tractor as there are only two pins in use . Here is my problem , the indicator light board is not functioning , no lights operate . Pin 1 on alt has 0 volts until running then goes to 14 , pin 2 on alt has 12.5 , batt terminal has 12.5 until running then matches pin 1 at 14 . I can"t seem to detect any voltage at the R terminal at the Alt. I"m occasionally picking up .05 of a volt , does anyone have an idea of what I should have here ? I ran a jumper from the AC tap on the tach to the R pin on the Alt but was getting a lot of spark at pin so I stopped , peer was coming down from Tap to Alt . There is what looks to be a ballast resistor from the hour meter that is on the AC tap for the tach that is hot . If I play with the tap I occasionally get the tach to jump but it will not stay on . There is a brown wire on the tach but it does not run to the R pin it disappears in the harness that is why I used a jumper . If anyone out there has any ideas I would really appreciate hearing them . Around here we try not to wreck"em we try to restore"m {or at least keep "em running} Thanks…Frank
